To qualify in SIT40516 Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, a student will be assessed as competent in 33 units of competency and work placement jobs– 240 hours in a commercial kitchen operating as a cook and 100 hours of cooking coordination.
The duration of the course is 78 weeks including breaks.
This course is designed to be delivered in 6 terms- each term is of 10 weeks. And a total of 18 weeks of term break towards the end.
The course is 20 hours a week with a blended delivery of 6 hours of online learning and 14 hours of on site and kitchen learning.
